“The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles is delighted to host a press briefing on the movie, “1521: The Quest for Love and Freedom,” on Thursday, 8 June 2023. This movie is a fictional love story set against the historical drama that depicts the events surrounding the arrival and death of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in Mactan in 1521 in present-day Philippines. The movie features a talented cast of Filipino actors and actresses, as well as stunning cinematography and music. The press briefing will take place at the Philippine Consulate General’s community hall at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interview the production team behind the movie.
