PHILCONGENLA HOSTS U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR’S INFORMATION SESSION

24 May 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles hosted the information session conducted by the U.S Department of Labor – Wage and Hour Division (U.S. DoL-WHD), Los Angeles District Office (LADO), at the Consulate General’s Community Hall.

The information booth activity aimed at providing the necessary awareness of the available resources that can be accessed by Filipino workers in the U.S. should they encounter work-related issues, including on their wages and benefits. During the booth session, LADO investigator Anh Le promoted the services of the U.S. DoL-WHD and answered queries from clients.

The booth activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts among the Consulate General, the Migrant Workers Office – Los Angeles (MWO-LA) and the U.S. DoL-WHD LADO. Recognizing the importance of these sessions to make labor resources readily available to the Filipino community. The Consulate General endeavors to hold this activity regularly.
