Nakikiisa ang Konsulado Panlahat ng Pilipinas sa Los Angeles sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa na may temang, “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.” Sa pamamagitan ng Proklamasyon Blg. 1041 (s. 1997), ang Agosto ay idineklarang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa na naglalayon na maiangat ang kamalayan ng mga mamamayang Pilipino ukol sa ating wika at kahalagahan nito.
